During the three-day conference, on THURSDAY, the conference attendees will be given the opportunity to visit the HYBRIT (Hydrogen Breakthrough Ironmaking Technology) pilot plant located close to SSAB in Luleå.
HYBRIT is a joint venture between the steel producer SSAB, the mining company LKAB and the European energy company Vattenfall, and the aim with the project is to have a full-scale fossil-free process for steel manufacturing ready by 2035.

Since all participants can´t visit HYBRIT at the same time, the tour is divided according to the timeslots below:
Group 1: 10.00 – 12.00
Group 2: 12.30 – 14.30
Group 3: 14.30 – 16.30
In each timeslot there are room for 50 persons in total.
A charter bus will departure from Kulturens Hus and you will also return to Kulturens Hus after the technical tour, by the same bus.
The actual tour at HYBRIT is about one hour and then the bus tour takes approx 30 min each way.
For those of you submitting papers, the following applies: when you receive notification of accepted papers, you will also be informed of the day you will present your paper. When you register, you will then indicate in the registration form which time slot you wish to visit HYBRIT.
