PRACTICAL INFORMATION – USEFUL TO KNOW!

  • Please remember to book your flights and hotels well in advance once you have received your paper approval!
  • In Sweden, almost exclusively credit/debit cards are used – cash is rarely accepted.

HOW TO GET TO LULEÅ:

FLY

The best choice for faraway visitors is to fly, Stockholm-Luleå, Luleå is one of the most easily accessible cities in Sweden. It takes just 75 minutes to fly from Stockholm-Arlanda to Luleå Airport.
Airlines that operate the journey between Arlanda and Luleå are SAS, Norwegian and Ryanair – they have multiple departures to/from Luleå every day.


TRANSPORTATION FROM THE AIRPORT TO CENTRAL LULEÅ

Going from the airport into central Luleå takes approximately 10-15 minutes.
There isn’t a dedicated airport bus service in Luleå, however you can travel to and from Luleå Airport on two bus lines, number 4 and 104. For more information, please visit LLT (Luleå Local Traffic company).
Another option is to take a taxi, they are available just outside the airport.

TAKE THE TRAIN

Every night trains to Luleå Central Station depart from Stockholm and Gothenburg. Travelling by train is the more affordable option, with a good level of comfort. The train station is located near the city centre and it takes no more than a few minutes to walk to central Luleå. Book your tickets via either Vy or SJ
